1. Acceptance

By accessing or using carbonmap.nl and any associated platform, dashboards, APIs, reports, or content (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service description

CarbonMap is a B2B intelligence platform for the carbon capture, transport, and storage sector. It aggregates and analyses publicly available data on emitters, capture projects, storage sites, and corridors, and presents that data through interactive maps, dashboards, and downloads.

3. Permitted use

  • You may use the Service for internal business purposes consistent with these Terms.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its data, in whole or in substantial part, without our prior written consent.
  • You may not scrape, mirror, or attempt to circumvent access controls.
  • You may not use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.

4. Intellectual property

The Service, including its interface, code, structure, methodologies and presentation layers, is owned by Aurora Energy Consulting and protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service under these Terms.

5. Data sources and disclaimer of warranty

CarbonMap aggregates data from publicly available sources — regulatory filings, company disclosures, industry registries, and news. While we apply reasonable care to verify and structure that data, we make no representation or warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for any particular purpose. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it for an investment, regulatory, commercial or technical decision.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aurora Energy Consulting and its officers, employees and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, business or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (i) fees paid by you to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (ii) one hundred euros (€100).

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aurora Energy Consulting from any claim or demand arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

10. Changes

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
